Samuel Russo is a quick-thinking, proactive lawyer with a passion for criminal law and access to justice. Samuel has extensive experience in all areas of criminal law including murder, sex offences, drug offences, family violence, fraud, firearms and weapons offences, theft and dishonesty offences, driving matters and Intervention Orders. He is committed to guiding clients though what is often a stressful and uncertain time, ensuring they understand their options while working tirelessly to achieve the best outcome possible.

Sam commenced his career as a Court Registrar at the Magistrates' Court of Victoria. That experience gave him direct, working insight into how the courts operate from the inside: how matters are managed, how judicial officers approach evidence, and what separates a prepared advocate from one who is not.

Samuel appears regularly in the Magistrates' and County Courts of Victoria as an advocate and instructor, and acts in matters before the Supreme Court and the Children's Court.

His practice covers the full range of criminal matters: from drug offences, assault and property offences to serious indictable matters including murder and manslaughter, and from traffic and drink-driving offences to online sexual offences.

Samuel holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology from Victoria University.
